Exhibition: Retail Sourcing Fair 2019 to showcase Chinese brands in Lagos

Leading Chinese manufacturers are expected to showcase their diversified products and services to thousands of buyers in Lagos this November, as the China Brand Show makes its West African debut as part of the Retail Sourcing Fair (RSF).

The Project Director, Bunmi Aliyu, in a statement on Tuesday, said the three-day international trade show billed for November 12 – 14 at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria, will host over 400 companies and exhibit latest manufactured goods from more than nine countries, including China, Indonesia, Turkey, Ghana, Morocco, India, Portugal, Italy, Brazil and Ethiopia, among others.

“The growth of Retail Sourcing Fair, is the result of increased interest among the Nigerian and West African public in manufacturing and importing retail products, as well as the general growth of international trade of higher-quality, ethically-manufactured products,” he said.

He noted that hundreds of China’s top manufacturers would grace the event aimed at strengthening trade exchanges and cooperation among West African countries and China. He said the China Brand Show also has the support of the Chinese government.

He added that the fair would be hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of Peoples Republic of China (P.R.C.) and its most authoritative government institute, Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce.

“The introduction of the China Brand Show to Nigeria, which has seen huge success in major countries after launching in 2002 such as United States, Australia, Vietnam and major cities such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, is a major feat for local businesses that are poised to benefit from making unprecedented connections and securing deals and investments with top-rate international companies right on their home turf,” Aliyu said.

He pointed out that the event is being organised by the trio of Leoht Africa, Atlantic Exhibition and Meridyan Fairs.

“Together, they bring international exhibition experience, Africa’s leading exhibitions network and a depth of on-the-ground experience combined with access to a global network to produce world-class expos geared to an African market. They have prominent portfolio of award-winning shows that bring great synergy to RSF.

“Globally, Leoht Africa, Atlantic Exhibitions and Meridyan Fairs own a portfolio of approximately 500 events in 40 countries including UK, Nigeria, Kenya, Austria, USA, France, Germany, Brazil, Russia, India, China, Australia and the Middle East,” the project director said.
