EXCLUSIVE: Zamfara guber poll: In Maru, woman buys votes near polling unit with wrappers

A woman simply identified as Hajia was seen near a polling unit in Maru local government area of Zamfara state buying votes, as the governorship and house of assembly elections are ongoing on Saturday.

Standing close to a polling unit located on Banaga Abubakar Chika road, the woman was seen issuing numbers to the voters.

The numbers are written on a piece of paper. After casting their votes, the voters go to a building to collect the wrappers.

When our correspondent entered inside the building, over 50 women were seen holding the numbers, waiting to receive the wrappers.

Some of them were also seen with wrappers, our reporter observed.
