The statement said “How else do we describe a situation where Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai is back to office but his deputy still goes round calling himself the “acting governor?”
Bello said: “Even when governor Suntai dissolved the cabinet, Umar said the dissolution should be disregarded. Currently, he has a Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and a Chief of staff appointed solely by him. Gov Suntai on return appointed and sworn in an SSG but Umar continue to work with his own SSG, where is the “100 percent” loyalty in all of his action?”
Last Tuesday, the acting governor during a parley with traditional rulers and council chairmen in Jalingo reaffirmed that he is “100 percent” loyal to Governor Suntai and that “there is no division in the structure of government in Taraba State.”
