Former Super Eagles players will play a novelty match on the 70th birthday anniversary of a former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The birthday anniversary of the APC presidential aspirant is March 29.

Addressing reporters in Abuja Tuesday, Director-General, Tinubu Support Group, Umar Ibrahim, said the former Super Eagles players for the match include Kanu Nwankwo, Jay Jay Okocha, Peter Rufai, Tijani Babangida, Mutiu Adepoju, Garba Lawal, Julius Aghahowa, Victor Ikpeba, Uche Okechukwu, Ifeanyi Udeze, Taribo West, Victor Agali, Ike Shorunmu, Victor Ezeji, Obafemi Abiodun and Dosu Joseph.
He said to commemorate Tinubu’s birthday, the TSG, in collaboration with the Lagos State Government, organised the football match and prayers simultaneously across the six geo-political zones of the country.
“There will also be a Novelty football Match between Ex-Super Eagles International Players and the Asiwaju Team at Onikan Stadium Lagos on 20th March 2022.
“Awards will be presented to His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu by Ex-Super Eagles and Kanu Heart Foundation.”
