A former presidential candidate, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim on Tuesday hosted a Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG), saying there was need for one Nigeria.
The CNG delegation was led by the National Coordinator, Balarabe Rufai and the Spokesman, Abdulaziz Suleiman.

Speaking during the visit, Olawepo-Hashim said, “We must work for a united Nigeria. We must work to ensure the unity and security of Nigeria and the North in particular.”
A statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Ibrahim, said the delegation stressed the need for a paradigm shift in the way governance was being steered in the country.
The statement reads in party; “The CNG delegation met in Abuja, and discussed with Mr. Olawepo-Hashim on issues geared towards attaining a more united and progressive Nigeria.
“While speaking on behalf of the delegation during the visit, Spokesman of the group, Abdulaziz Suleiman said they have noticed that Mr. Olawepo-Hashim has what it takes to help develop a template for a rancour free Nigeria.
“The CNG sought for closer ties with businessman and former presidential candidate in the 2019 general election, Mr.Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, who they have identified as a progressive voice in the journey for a new Nigeria.”
