Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been appointed as a member of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC) in Lagos State, Daily Trust reports.
GAC is the highest decision-making organ of the All Progressives Congress (APC) which serves as the council of elders in Lagos.

Ogunlewe, a former Minister of Works, dumped the PDP for APC last year and championed the campaign for the presidency of the APC candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
A source in APC who confirmed his appointment to our correspondent yesterday said his membership of GAC was ratified during the last meeting of the body.
He said, “His appointment has shown he has been fully integrated into the body of wise men and elders who would be consulted regularly on matters of governance and politics in the state.”
His son and Chairman of Kosofe LGA, Barr Moyosore Ogunlewe, also confirmed the appointment in a statement at the weekend.
