President of the society, Engr. Otis Anyaeji, conferred the award at their ongoing Annual General Meeting in Abuja.

He  said, “This honour is in recognition of the significant contributions to the promotion of the engineering profession and to the NSE.”

He said Olotu was found worthy of the prestigious award for his positive influence in the promotion of the engineering profession when he was managing director of NDPHC where Nigerian engineers were given opportunity to actively participate in the development of the NIPPs.

Olotu is an accountant and project management specialist.

As the pioneer head of NDPHC, he delivered eight of the 10 power stations with total capacity of 4,774mw when he left office last year.

Also fully completed were gas infrastructures relative to the power stations.
