A former Executive Secretary (ES) of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Reverend Tor Uja, has emphasised the importance of government support for faith-based organisations like schools and health institutions.
Uja expressed this opinion during a dinner in Makurdi, Benue State, where he received an award from the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship International (FGBMFI).

He said, “It’s crucial for the government to fund faith-based organisations in their efforts to enhance education, agriculture and Christian values.”
He noted that beyond material wealth, it had become essential to nurture knowledge, character and leadership qualities in the Nigerian society, stressing that the government should actively assist the faith-based institutions since they played a vital role in building the nation.
