The Student Representative Council, (SRC) Nigeria Law School has conferred law students’ ambassador award on the former governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
Chairman of the group, Joseph Salifu said they decided to confer the award on him  because during his  tenure as executive governor of Kogi State,  the state university was brought to limelight with the full accreditation of courses particularly the faculty of law  and legal studies  which was also rated as the best by the council for legal education and national university commission.
They said the ex-governor who studied law at the University of Abuja and also has a Masters degree in law has always supported the legal profession through award of bursaries to students.
Idris thanked the group for the award saying he was overwhelmed that he could be remembered years after he left office.
