Ex information minister Tony Momoh dies at 82

Former Minister of Information, Prince Tony Momoh is dead.

Momoh, who was a minister during the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, died at the age of 82

Momoh, an indigene of Auchi, the Administrative headquarter of Etsako West Local government of Edo State died on Monday.

A source closed to the family confirmed this to Daily Trust.

He is a chieftain of chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress.

He was a veteran journalist and became the national chairman of the defunct Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, formed by President Muhammadu Buhari, and merged with other parties to form the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

The cause of his death is not yet known as at the time of filing this report.
