Ex-FCT CP, Benneth Igweh, assumes duty as AIG Zone 7

The immediate Commissioner of Police in Federal Capital Territory, Benneth Igweh, Thursday assumed duty As Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police in charge of Zone 7, representing FCT and Niger state.

City & Crime reports that Igweh and eight other commissioners of police were last week promoted to the rank of AIG by the Police Service Commission (PSC) in Abuja.

Igweh, who arrived at the Zone 7 command’s headquarters in Abuja, at about 11:12 am, inspected the guards of honour before he was ushered into the conference hall where he met with senior officers of the zone.

He solicited for the support and cooperation of the senior officers in order to overcome the challenges facing the zone.
