In a suit No.CD/C.5/VOL X1V, Oba Adesina challenged his deposition as the paramount ruler of the town.Apart from this,Oba Adesina alleged that he has been kept in prison in Owo, thereby demanding N10 billion as damages from the state government for what he described as his illegal deposition and banishment.
The deposed monarch in a suit filed by his lawyer, Olusola Oke, joined the state Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko, the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, the state Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs and the Secretary, Akure South Local Government as defendants in the case.
He said the process that led to his deposition did not emanate from the appropriate authority to do so and that it was wrongful, illegal, unconstitutional, invalid, null, void and of no effect whatsoever.
Although the state Chief Judge, Justice Gladys Olateru-Olagbegi, has not allocated the case for hearing.
