The immediate past Councillor that represented Tungan-Maje Ward in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT, Usman Tanko, has been abducted by gunmen in Shanagu community in the council.
A relative of the victim, Ibrahim Saidu, said the incident happened around 1am on Tuesday when the kidnappers invaded his residence.
He said, “They brought him out and put him in on their motorcycle and one of them sat at the back and they zoomed off while shooting in the air.”
City & Crime recalls that kidnappers two months ago invaded Shanagu village, killed one person and abducted others.

In another incident, a business woman operating a food stuff shop at Tungan-Ladan community under Zuba chiefdom has been abducted.
City & Crime learnt that the incident, which took place on Friday, led to the shooting of a youth who tried to offer help to the woman by rushing toward her home.
He was later taken to a hospital in neighbouring Madalla town, where he is currently responding to treatment.
There was no response from the spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, DSP Adeh Josephine, over the latest kidnap incidents.
