Etsu Nupe mourns NTA reporter in Bida

Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe and Chairman, Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, has described the death of Mr Jones Ajayi, a reporter with the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA) Bida station, as very devastating.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ajayi died in the early hours of Thursday after a brief illness in Minna.

In a condolence message, the Etsu Nupe said that the death of the veteran journalist was a great loss not only to his family or the NTA, but also to the entire Nupe Kingdom and Niger State.

Abubakar described the deceased as a very humble, dedicated, diligent and committed to his duty.

“Words cannot express the rude shock and pain in losing such a compatriot in the struggle to make our society a better place,” he said. (NAN)
