The Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has cautioned the re-appointed Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu, and other appointees to eschew corruption.
The governor gave the warning while administering the oath of office to the appointees at the Government House, Lafia, yesterday.
Others sworn in were seven newly appointed permanent secretaries and two members of the Nasarawa State Judiciary Service Commission.
Gov Sule said, “I urge all of you to eschew corruption in all its ramifications in line with the posture of his administration.”

The governor also charged them to quickly settle down to their new assignments, enjoining them to be innovative and make valuable contributions to enable the government achieve its development objectives.
Speaking on the reappointment of Ubandoma as SSG, Sule said, “Let me state that for all intent and purposes, these were the considerations that informed our decision to appoint Barrister Ubandoma Aliyu as SSG for the second time.
“We did it in order to provide the link and to serve as a bridge for continuity in policy implementation and programmes execution, having been part of the administration from the beginning.
“Let me also state without any ambiguity that Barrister Muhammad Ubandoma Aliyu, while occupying this very important office during our first tenure, proved his administrative acumen in the discharge of his duty as a result-oriented personality in the governance of Nasarawa State.”
Fintiri swears in SSG, justice commissioner
In a similar development in Adamawa State, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri yesterday swore in a new SSG, Awwal Bamanga Tukur, and Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi.
Fintiri described them as “ two exceptional individuals” who will play vital roles in the governance and administration of the state.
