A lion which escaped from a zoo in Kano has been sedated after it was shot with tranquilisers.

The zoo managing director, Sa’idu Gwadabe confirmed this.

It was earlier thought that the lion was captured but facts have emerged that the lion was only sedated

“The lion has been sedated but we are still awaiting for a reinforcement of a stronger sedative from Abuja to have full control of the animal,” he said.
