Erisco Foods Limited, Nigerian foods products manufacturer, has distributed palliatives to 200 less privileged individuals to cushion the effect of harsh economic realities on the less privileged in Albasu Local Government Area of Kano State.
The Northwest Regional Sales Manager, Erisco Foods Limited, Mr. John Ali while presenting the foodstuff to the district head of Albasu said the gesture was part of its corporate social responsibility.
Ali disclosed that items supplied included 200 bags of 5kg rice, 200 cartons of tomato paste and 10 cartons of seasoning cubes, which were distributed to 200 beneficiaries drawn from various communities in Albasu.
“Erisco and the entire management team are concerned with the current economic challenges less privileged are going through. On behalf of the management of Erisco, I present the palliatives to the District Head of Albasu, Alh. Bashir Abdullahi Albasu.

“Erisco is deeply concerned with the suffering of the people of this area. That is why Erisco, under the leadership of Dr. Eric Umeofia, decided to assist the less privileged.
The district head noted that the needy and vulnerable were prioritised in the selection process.
