The senator representing Benue North East Senatorial District, Gabriel Suswam, has urged election riggers to desist from snatching ballot boxes, saying the introduction of Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) in the electoral process has rendered it useless.
Suswam stated this during the flag-off of the Benue North East senatorial campaign in Adikpo, the headquarters of Kwande Local Government Area of the state.

The senator, who is also seeking a return to the National Assembly on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), advised the people to rather concentrate on canvassing support for the party at the grassroots.
“The era of ballot box and other electoral materials snatching is over. If you snatch a ballot box you are wasting your time.
“All you need to do is to man your polling units with your Permanent Voters Card (PVC) to ensure victory for our party,” he said.
Also speaking at the event, Governor Samuel Ortom expressed optimism that the PDP would win overwhelmingly in the 2023 general elections.
