Equities shed N112bn as performance dips

Sell-offs in Dangote Cement (-2.5 per cent), UBA (-1.1 per cent) and Zenith (-0.7 per cent) have seen market capitalisation fell by ₦112.1billion to settle at ₦221.9 trillion while year to date return declined to 4.3 per cent.

Activity level improved as volume and value traded rose 24.7% and 50.3% respectively to 629.4 million units and ₦8bn.

The most traded stocks by volume were FBNH (126.4m units), Guaranty (87.2m units) and UBN (78.4m units) while Guaranty (₦2.9bn), FBNH (₦923.2m) and PRESCO (₦900.9m) led by value.
