Kwara State has reverted to the three hours for the monthly sanitation exercise with immediate effect.
Commissioner for Environment, Hajia Nafisat Musa Buge, disclosed this in Ilorin, saying it is in line with the state Environmental Sanitation law which stipulates between 7am and 10am.
The commissioner said the move was necessary in order to eradicate indiscriminate dumping of refuse and forestall the outbreak of diseases and epidemics.
She added that the sanitation exercise had to be taken seriously and in accordance with the laws governing our state.
