Defending champions, Enyimba FC on Wednesday forced host Warri Wolves to a 1-1 draw in one of the rescheduled NPFL week 11 matches to put more pressure on table-toppers Kwara United.

Although Kwara United are occupying the top spot on 25 points, Enyimba who have moved up to second with 24 points and a game in hand can easily knock the ‘Afonja Warriors’ off the top of the log.

In Wednesday’s match in Ozoro, Enyimba managed to escape with a point against 10-man Warri Wolves who had an early lead when Jackson Eru superbly headed home an Efe Yarhere’s cross in the 24th minute.

However, Victor Mbaoma drew the visitors level in the third minute of the first half added time.

Before then, Wolves were reduced to 10 men when Efe Yarhere picked up a second yellow card after he knocked Enyimba defender Hassan Abubakar unconscious in a dangerous aerial collision.

In the other rescheduled week 11 fixture, Rivers United forced Plateau United to a 1-1 draw in Jos in an ill-tempered match that saw the centre referee giving Coach Abdul Maikaba verbal warning for unsporting behaviour.

Chika Godwin gave Rivers United the lead in the 18th minute but Plateau United equalised late in the match when returnee Mustapha Ibrahim scored from the spot in the 80th minute.

In Uyo, Dakkada also overpowered Wikki Tourists 2-1 in a rescheduled Week 10 fixture at the Nest of champions.

It will be recalled that the match was rescheduled to March 3 after Wikki Tourists suffered bus inferno on February 18 on their way to Uyo for the week 10 fixture.

Although Wikki Tourists captain, Idris Guda Muhammed put his side in front in the 26th minute, Austin Osayande drew Dakkada level before the end of first half.

Substitute Isaac George then ensured Dakkada clinched the three points when he fired home a pile-driver from 20 yards in the 66th minute.
