The African business community in Yiwu, Zhejiang province of China have been urged to shun the idea of collaborating with corrupt persons in exporting fake, expired and sub-standard goods and products from China to Nigeria and other African countries.
Mr Chimezie Okeoma Ogu, the Consul General of the Nigeria’s Consulate office in Shanghai, China gave the advice during a parley organised by the African community in Yiwu, according to a statement by the Consulate.
Ogu encouraged the African community in Yiwu to learn and adopt the best practices and to ensure that quality and best products are exported to their individual African countries.
Meanwhile, Ogu called on the Chinese government to reconsider the high tariff imposed on Nigerian agricultural export products.

He made the call during the global digital expo conference in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province of China while responding to questions on the inability of Nigeria to export agricultural produce to China.
