Entrepreneurship remains the only reliable venture to revamp Nigeria’s fragile economy, Vice Chancellor of Taraba State University, Jalingo Professor Vincent Tenebe has said.
Tenebe spoke at the 9th combined pre-convocation lecture of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa where he delivered a lecture titled, “Entrepreneurship Education: Panacea for self-actualization”
“One of the obvious challenges faced by Nigeria that even led the country into recession was the inability of the country to manage the wealth it has, and oil which is the most abundant resource and highest source of foreign exchange has brought more division and extreme terrorism to the country rather than development,” he said.
He said implementation of entrepreneurship studies in all tertiary institutions is vital, saying polytechnics are best places where practical and technical skills in entrepreneurship studies could be gained to equip young Nigerians for self actualization.
