The founder of Voices and Forces Communications, Temi Badru, has urged young entrepreneurs to develop a support community to grow efficiently.

She spoke yesterday in Abuja while briefing newsmen on the sidelines of the launch of “Against All Odds” docuseries Episode 1, tagged “I Am Woman”.

Daily Trust reports that the event, which coincided with the 2024 Workers’ Day, also had discussions centred on the dignity of labour.

Ms Badru, who is the producer of “Against All Odds”, said: “Upcoming entrepreneurs should hang in there; you are not alone, because there is a sense in which we feel as though we are the only ones in the world going through the challenge.

“Don’t give up. There’s light at the end of the tunnel. If you hear from other people, you’ll see that they’re also going through so many things.

“Also, have a community. Have a support system. Have people who would encourage you. People would tell you it’s okay to cry, but don’t stop at crying, move up. Have people who also share ideas with you. Surround yourself with people who would inspire and support you. They may not give you money, but they can give you information, encouragement and motivation.”

The MD/CEO of Nigerian Communications Satellite Ltd (NIGCOMSAT), Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, said the event was organised to give Nigerians a reason to continue serving.

She said, “Against All Odds means one has resistance. There are barriers and challenges. Currently, that is what we are seeing. The economy is not where it should be. We hope it will be better. It cannot be better without the people. So, it is important for people to remain steadfast and resilient.”
