The online clash between Portable and Davido is never ending, as Portable recently disclosed the financial setbacks he faced after his meeting with Davido in the United States.

In a Tuesday interview on the Echooroom podcast, Portable disclosed that the meeting with Davido led to financial losses.

The 30-year-old artist shared his side of the story, stating, “I’m being honest now because I don’t lie. I was in America looking for international artists to work with and trying to advance my career when Davido asked me to meet him. I had to cancel a show that day, which was worth $6,000 (N9.87m), just to meet him.”

TEMS addresses pregnancy rumours

Nigerian singer Tems recently addressed rumours about being pregnant by American rapper Future.

The speculation began after Tems attended Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 show last December in a form-fitting black dress and a purple fluffy coat, which led some to believe she might be pregnant.

In a recent interview on ‘The Breakfast Club,’ Tems questioned why Future specifically was linked to these rumours.

She pointed out that the choice seemed odd, wondering why other celebrities like Wizkid or Drake weren’t suggested instead.

“People just take the most controversial things. Because I was thinking, why am I pregnant for Future? Why Future? Because that’s the craziest,” she said.

“Why not Wizkid? Why not Drake? Why not somebody else? If it were Drake, it would be the same thing, but the reason why it is Future is because of his reputation. He has about five kids and has a reputation of being a ladies’ man.”

Fame often feels like

prison — Beyonce

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter has described fame as feeling like a prison at times. The 43-year-old singer stated that she now creates music at her own pace, focusing on innovation, rather than perfection.

In a GQ interview, she explained that she retreats from the public eye when not sharing her work because fame can be burdensome.

“I create at my own pace, aiming to inspire others to explore their creativity and resilience. I focus on storytelling and growth, rather than perfection,” she said.

Beyoncé added that working on projects like Cowboy Carter feels liberating, contrasting with the constraints of fame. She said she disappears from the public eye to avoid the pressures of fame until she has new art to share.
