Enhancing building practice for sustainable development

The Nigerian Institute of Building through research, development, and collaboration with stakeholders, has consistently championed the delivery of sustainable shelter that meets the nation’s housing needs.

This is then a clarion call to all the tiers of government and the citizenry in Nigeria to patronise the services of certified professional builders in every stage of housing development to avert all the hazards replete in engaging quacks.

Without fear of contradiction, professional builders are the ultimate panacea to challenges of sustainable housing development in Nigeria. Nigerian builders are experts when it comes to building of any form, we build rightly and we have the technical know-how to deliver purpose-driven buildings that are affordable and sustainable to all and sundry.

SPONSOR AD

The Nigerian Institute of Building, through research, development, and collaboration with stakeholders, has consistently championed the delivery of sustainable shelter that meets the nation’s housing needs. Our members spread across the country, are at the forefront of driving positive change in the construction sector.

Our goal during our annual conference is to foster a robust dialogue on how we can enhance building practices to contribute meaningfully to sustainable national development.

Nigerian builders will explore topics such as alternative building materials, research and development in building practice, emerging technologies in building practice, as well as builders’ roles in skills – gap bridging for sustainable national development.

This will in a way act as a tonic/balm to our fatigues/stresses often associated with the monotonous routine daily work and avail us a veritable ground to discuss the challenges and advantages ingrained in the building profession practices vis-à-vis sustainable national development.

Thus, as envisaged, we shall at the end of our conference come out well refreshed, energised, intellectually groomed and ready to participate and contribute expertly to sustainable housing development of the federal and various state government in Nigeria.

Sir Alderton Ewa Ewa is the President of the Nigerian Institute of Building (NIOB)
