A former governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, has cautioned those whom he said are ceaselessly trying to sow seeds of discord between him and his successor, Aminu Tambuwal.
“Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and I are one and the same, contrary to the machinations of some doubting Thomases,” Wamakko, who represents Sokoto North Senatorial District, said.
A statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Bashir Rabe Mani, said Senator Wamakko spoke at his Gawon Nama residence in Sokoto, when he addressed a mammoth crowd that escorted him from the Sultan Abubakar III International Airport, Sokoto, upon arrival from Abuja.
“Myself and Governor Aminu Tambuwal are one and the same; we have the same vision and mission,” he said.
Senator Wamakko, who is also the Chairman, Senate Committee on Basic and Secondary Education, reiterated that, ‘’Nothing is between us but mutual respect and love for one another, as well as the love for our dear state and Nigeria in general.
“The respect my younger brother, the governor is according me is unparalleled. I am truly and sincerely very grateful to him for this and I am highly cherishing his enviable gestures,” he added.
