Youths in Vandekiya Local Government Area of Benue State on Thursday staged a protest against the poor state of the federal highway passing the vicinity.
Daily Trust reports that the youths had in the afternoon blocked the Ihugh-Tse-Mker road, urging the President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government to fix the road.

Leader of the protest Terkula Lubem told newsmen in Makurdi that the demonstration was to press on their demands for good governance which would produce good roads for users.

He added that it was also meant to urge all their representatives to liaise with the state governor to lobby the federal government to fix the road urgently.
