#ENDSARS: Rights Commission wants perpetrators held accountable

Executive Secretary, National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu, says all the officers involved in killing protesters at the Lekki toll gate should be held accountable for their actions.

Speaking on Wednesday in Abuja during the inauguration of the independent investigative panel of human rights violations by SARS and other units of the Nigeria Police Force, he expressed shock at the use of live bullets against peaceful protesters in Lagos State and some other states where citizens were shot.

He also called for the arrest and prosecution of hoodlums who infiltrated the protest by attacking police officers and destroying properties of the members of the public.
