The House of Representatives committee on Aviation has postponed the proposed Public hearing on the six Executive Bills on civil aviation earlier scheduled to hold from October 20th to 22nd, 2020 with immediate effect.
A new date would be communicated soon, the committee chairman, Hon. Nnolim Nnaji said in a terse statement without providing reason for the postponement.

- Civil Aviation Act amendment begins 14 years after
Daily Trust learnt that the postponement was as a result of the nationwide #EndSARS protest which has disrupted activities in Lagos.
There are fears that the protest might stall flight operations at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, the busiest airport in Nigeria.
The House had earlier scheduled Tuesday for the commencement of review of Civil Aviation Act 2006 with public hearing.
The bills are seeking to amend certain aspects of the Acts establishing the six agencies being superintended by the Ministry of Aviation.
They included the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), the Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), the Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), the Nigeria College of Aviation Technology (NCAT) and the Nigeria Meteorological Agency (NIMET).
