#EndSARS: Indigenes protect Oluwo’s palace from looters

The indigenes of Iwo in Osun State on Saturday guarded Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi’s palace from vandals looting under the guise of EndSARS protest.

Early in the morning, some individuals and criminals looted Iwo Local Government Council Secretariat and set it ablaze.

Properties of the Senator representing Osun West Senatorial District, Senator Adelere Odiolowo in Iwo and Senator representing Osun Central, Senator Ajibola Basiru in Osogbo were stolen.

Others included properties of former Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Hon Lasun Yusuf and the current HoR member, Bukola Oyewo where they carted valuable items, including brand new motorcycles.

Oba Akanbi condemned the act and commended those who defended the palace.
