#EndSARS: Chopper over Kuje as armed soldiers guard police station

#EndSARS: Chopper over Kuje as armed soldiers guard police station, vehicles stranded

#EndSARS protesters on Tuesday shut down the main road linking Kuje Town to Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

The development forced commercial and private vehicles as well as government workers to turn back from the bridge at Omega Church where the #EndSARS protesters had gathered.

As of 7pm, motorists were still stranded.

The presence of police and military vehicles patrolling the area failed to save the situation.

The protesters also blocked Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Expressway otherwise called Airport Road at three different points, known as Gosa Borehole, Gosa under Bridge and Mopol Barrack Junction.

Residents of Kuje who left early for office had to return via Kubwa-Zuba-Gwagwalada route.

Many were also forced to leave vehicles in  their various offices to ride motorcycles (okada) or tricycles to Tipper Garage Junction in Kuje after disembarking from Commercial vehicles at Gosa.

Earlier today, helicopter was hovering over Kuje to thwart the purported attempt to release prisoners.

Armed soldiers were also seen manning the Divisional Police Station in Kuje.
