The Federal Government has reiterated its determination to further empower the Niger-Delta with a pledge to provide substantial take-off grants to a team of youth who concluded a month-long fish production empowerment training in Ibadan, Oyo State.
Addressing the batch of trainees drawn from some states in the South South geo-political zone, the Minister of State for Niger-Delta Affairs, Professor Claudius Omoleye Daramola, remarked that the Federal Government has resolved to stop at nothing to ensure that youth from the zone were effectively empowered.
He charged them to use the skills acquired to establish their own outfit and become employers of labour.
The Consultant and Chief Executive of Siegener Sabithos College of Business Management and Information Technology, Dr. Tunde Anifowose-Kelani, disclosed that the trainees were exposed to the modalities of catfish and tilapia production.
