Employee charged with theft of cutting machine

An employee, Naphtali Barnabas (24), was on Wednesday arraigned in an area court in Karu, Abuja, for stealing a cutting machine worth N220,000 belonging to employer.

The prosecutor, Mr Ade Adeyanju, told the court that the matter was reported at the Garki police station by one John Naboth of Rita Lori Hotel, Abuja.

Adeyanju told the court that on October 25, the defendant who was an employee at the same address stole a cutting machine worth N220,000.

The Judge, Hassan Mohammed, granted the defendant N50,000 bail with one surety in like sum and adjourned to December 14.
