The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has called on police officers to employ modern ways of combating the changing sophisticated crimes perpetuated around the country.
The IGP said through the Commandant of the Police Staff College Jos, AIG Dorothy Gimba, during the graduation ceremony of 48 Assistant Commissioners of Police on Strategic Leadership and Command Courses held at the college, “In recent times, criminals and criminal acts continue to assume sophistication, thereby necessitating law enforcement officers to be abreast with modern trends of policing,” he said.
On her part, the college commandant said the success of the police to a large extent would be measured by how well its resources were managed.
