Emir to empower 200 Zamfara youths on business skills

The Emir of Gummi in Zamfara State, Justice Lawal Hassan Gummi rtd has vowed to empower 200 youths in his emirate yearly till the end of his life.
Speaking during the flag -off ceremony of  training the first batch of 50 youths in his emirate, Justice Gummi said the programme was created to create employment for the teeming jobless youth ,adding that providing jobs to them has become necessary if crimes are to be drastically reduced.
He said the youth would be trained in knitting, welding, plumbing, electronic repairs and other vocational skills and upon completion of their programme withinthree months the trained youth would be granted with take off capital to start their businesses.
The emir further explained that the participants comprising 30 males and 20 females were drawn from 11 districts in his emirate urging the district heads.
