The Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abbas Jidda Tafida, has charged the newly posted Commissioner of Police to Taraba State, Mr Ukachi  Opara, to checkmate the excesses and unprofessional conduct of operatives of the Anti-kidnapping Unit of the state police command.

The emir, who made the call when he received the commissioner in his palace in Jalingo, however, said the police as an organisation has improved in recent times, but that there is more to be done by the leadership.

He thanked the commissioner and his team for the visit and assured them of his support to enable them to discharge their duties creditably.
