Emir of Katsina, Dr Abdulmumin Kabir Usman, has lost his stepmother, Hajiya Rakiyat Kabir Usman.
She is one of the wives who survived the late Emir of Katsina, Kabir Usman.

Hajiya Rakiya died on Sunday night at the age of 82.
The spokesman of the Katsina Emirate Council, Mallam Ibrahim Bindawa, confirmed the development.
Her remains were buried in Katsina on Monday shortly after funeral prayers were observed inside the palace for the repose of her soul.
Among the dignitaries who attended the funeral prayer were the Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika; representative of the Emir of Daura, Alhaji Faruq Umar; as well as top government officials from the state.
Hajiya Rakiya Usman is survived by eight children among whom is a former Customs officer, Mallam Aminu Kabir .
