The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has urged the people of Kano and the general public to embrace the habit of paying taxes when due to help in adjusting the economic situation of the country.
The emir gave the charge while receiving the Executive Chairman of the Kano State Internal Revenue Services (KIRS), Abdulrazaq Datti Salihi, on a courtesy call at his palace.
Bayero further said it is not a secret that the economic situation of the country is in dilemma hence the need for diversifying the sources of income to enable government execute more projects.
Earlier, Salihi said the visit was to pay homage and seek for the Emir’s blessings and support in order to carry out his responsibility effectively.
