The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has re-appointed four new district heads and elevated six others.
The appointment is coming barely a week after the emir made similar reshufflement in one of the most powerful traditional institutions in the country.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary of the Kano Emirate Council, Abubakar Balarabe Kofar Na’isa, the first-class emir said the appointment was based on merit and their contribution to the society.
Those appointed include Alhaji Nura Sunusi as the new Dan Darman of Kano; Alhaji Sarki Hamidu Bayero as the Barayan of Kano; Alhaji Sayyadi Muhammad Yola as Fagacin of Kano and Alhaji Bello Idi as the new Kaigama of Kano.

Some of the elevated district heads include Malam Umar Sunusi as Bunun Kano who became the Dan Makwayyon Kano; Malam Ibrahim Hamza Bayero, the former Dan Madamin Kano and now the Dan Ruwatan Kano; the Yariman Kano, Malam Lamido Abubakar Bayero who has now been elevated to the rank of the Bunun Kano, among others.
