Emir of Jama’a celebrates 20 years on throne

Special prayers as Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji Muhammad Isa Muhammad II celebrated 20 years on the throne.

Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government headquarters of Kaduna State, recently came alive as the Emir of Jama’a, Alhaji (Dr.) Muhammad Isa Muhammad II celebrated his 20th year anniversary on the throne with special prayers.

The 11th emir was installed on the November 23, 1998 by the then military Governor of the state, Col. Umar Farouk Ahmed (rtd).

Many sons and daughters of the Emirate thronged the emir’s palace to witness the event, first of its kind, since his ascension to the throne.

Traditional title holders of Jama’a from far and near also graced the occasion. They appeared in splendid traditional attires for the event. In attendance were District, Village and Ward Heads, Imams, representatives of Christians Association of Nigeria, (CAN) and Jama’atu Nasril Islam, (JNI) Jema’a Local Government Chapter among others. Also at the occasion were chiefs of other ethnic groups, market and youths organizations.

It also an occasion for the palace singers, Makadan Taushi, to showcase their dexterity as they entertained with traditional drums and flutes.

The Chairman, Jema’a Local Government Area Council, Peter Danjuma Averick congratulated the Emir and promised the Emirate and all the chiefdoms in local government to work together to move the area forward.

The Emir, after the prayers, thanked Allah for granting him successful and fruitful years in his reign and called on the governor for more structural development in the area.

The Chief Imam of Jama’a Central Mosque, Kafanchan, Alhaji Adamu Tahir, who led the special prayers thanked Allah for allowing the reign of Emir Muhammad Isa Muhammad to witness tremendous development.

Also, the Chief Deputy Imam of the Central Mosque, Alhaji Muhammad Kabir Qassim described the Emir as the leader who brings people together to ensure peace and progress continue among them, regardless of their tribe or religion.

The CAN representative, Dagachi Dantata Adamu congratulated the Emir on behalf of the Association and called on the people to emulate the leader as a bridge builder.

The Secretary General, Southern Kaduna Christians Leaders Association, Apostle Emmanuel Bako, of GoodNews Power Base Church, Kafanchan described the Emir as a person who actually yearns for peace.

Right Reverend Markus Dogo of Anglican Seminary, Kafanchan, described the Emir as, “God fearing, peace loving and very humble person. I have strong respect for him.”

Speaking on behalf of traditional title holders of the Emirate, Wamban Jama’a, Alhaji Abdu Hassan congratulated the Emir and promised to continue supporting the emirate for greater achievement.
