The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has felicitated with the Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate, Dr Muhammad Bashir, on his attainment of 40 years in office.
Alhaji Ibrahim described the imam as a forthright person who had in the past four decades used his God-given talents and oratory to effect positive changes in the society.

The emir stated this in a goodwill message on Monday by his spokesperson, Malam Abdulazeez Arowona.
The emir, who is the Chairman of the Kwara State Council of Chiefs, said that thanksgiving prayers and special Juma’at service would be held to mark the memorable event.
The chief imam was appointed by the late Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Zuluqarnain Muhammadu Gambari, following the death of Imam Musa Ahmad in 1983. (NAN)
