The Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, has constructed a rehabilitation centre for drug addicts in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.
The centre, according to the chairman of the committee in charge of the centre and Magaji Are of Ilorin, Alhaji Shuaib Zubair, will rehabilitate and train drug addicts in the state.
Zubair said this during the inspection of the centre located at Akerebiaka, Ilorin, by Kwara State Deputy Governor Kayode Alabi.
Alibi charged Nigerians, especially the youth, to shun drugs abuse to build an egalitrian society.
Alabi noted that drugs abuse had affected the lives of many people which had forced them to engage in vices.
The deputy governor commended the emir for his foresight.
He stressed the need to employ consultants to train the teachers who would train the drug addicts.
