The Emir Gwandu and chairman of the Kebbi State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammadu Iliyasu Basha,r has enjoined parents to pay more attention to the education of their children.

He made the call yesterday at the Eid praying ground in Birnin Kebbi.

The royal father said: “Any society that does not give its young ones the required education they deserve will remain backward forever.

“Education is the best asset you can give to your children. As parents, you must also seek education because any society without sound education is a backward society.”

He enjoined Muslims to remain loyal to constituted authorities and shun idleness.

Speaking at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi, Governor,Abubakar Atiku Bagudu rejoiced with people of the state on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir while thanking God for the peace, security and development of the state.

 He called on them to rally round President Muhammad Buhari in his efforts to develop the country.
