The emir of Bauchi, Dr Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu has commended the North East Development Commission (NEDC) for executing various developmental projects across the North East sub-region.
The monarch gave the commendation in Bauchi yesterday, when the Governing Board of the NEDC led by its Chairman, General Paul Tarfa (rtd) and the Managing Director of NEDC, Mohammed Alkali, paid him a courtesy visit in the palace yesterday in Bauchi.
He said, “The NEDC has been the stimulus to the development of the North East region. In your tremendous improvement to the general well-being of our people, I think that’s what attributed the authority to consider you people to once again steer the affairs of the commission.”
The traditional ruler noted that his emirate council will continue to support any holistic approach and programmes by the commission that would bring about development in the North East sub-region.

The emir encouraged the commission to continue to come up with programmes and policies that would further stabilise the economic revitalisation in the region and the nation at large.
Earlier in his remarks, the Chairman, Governing Board of the Commission, Gen.Tarfa (rtd) told the emir that the visit to Bauchi was to reiterate the commitment of the commission towards the continuation and execution of its mandate in the region and the country at large.
