Embrace diversity, Christmas virtues for nation building – NCYP tells youths

The Northern Christian Youth Professionals (NCYP) has urged Nigerians, especially the youth to embrace Nigeria’s diversity and imbibe the virtues of Christmas to engender nation building.

The group extended festive greetings to all Christians and the entire Nigerian community.

Isaac Abrak, the NCYP Chairman, in a statement on Sunday, said as Nigerians celebrate the joyous occasion of Christmas, “we reflect on the true meaning of the season and the virtues it embodies,” adding that the NCYP commended its members for their unwavering commitment to faith, community, and service throughout the year.

He further urged Christians to prioritise quality time with family and friends.

“As we gather around the table, exchange gifts, and share laughter, let us be reminded of the virtues of Christmas – love, compassion, and kindness. In the spirit of togetherness, may these moments strengthen the bonds within our families and communities,” he said.

The NCYP further encouraged its members to extend the spirit of Christmas beyond their immediate circles, saying that as youth professionals, “we have the power to influence positive change and foster unity. Let us embrace the diversity that enriches our nation and use the virtues of Christmas as a catalyst for building bridges of understanding among all Nigerians.”

The group urged its members to dedicate themselves to prayer in order to mitigate their challenges.

“In these challenging times, the NCYP recognizes the importance of prayer and reflection. We call upon our members to dedicate a moment during the Christmas celebrations to pray for our beloved country. May our prayers be a source of hope, healing, and unity, inspiring positive transformation in the coming year.

“The NCYP remains committed to its mission of promoting Christian values, leadership, and unity. This Christmas, let us embody the true spirit of the season and be beacons of light, love, and peace in our communities,” Abrak said.
