The Founder of the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF), Mr. Tony Elumelu has revealed that the foundation has mentored over 20,000 entrepreneurs with digital skills to compete globally.
Elumelu stated this in Abuja at the Graduation Lecture for Participants of Executive Intelligence Management Course (EIMC) 17, which has the theme “Artificial Intelligence, Security and Emerging Economies in Africa: Challenges and Prospects,”
He said “The Tony Elumelu Foundation, is nurturing a generation of young, empowered African entrepreneurs, who are transforming their communities and industries. In total we have funded and mentored over 20,000 entrepreneurs.
“As technology is transforming how we achieve our mission, our TEF Connect platform gives access to over 1.5 million young African entrepreneurs to training and networking,”

Speaking on the theme, he noted that “Emerging technologies whether they artificial intelligence, biotechnology, or renewable energy are not merely tools of convenience, but powerful engines of growth, capable of driving unparalleled social and economic development across Africa,”
