Business magnate and billionaire, Elon Musk, has denied allegations of having romantic affairs with Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s estranged wife.
In a post written by the Wall Street Journal on Sunday, the paper accused Tesla Inc. CEO of allegedly having an affair with Nicole Shanahan which brought about the Google co-founder to file a divorce early this year.
The post also explained that Musk and Sergey Brin aren’t on talking terms anymore.
It said, “Elon Musk engaged in a brief affair last fall with the wife of Sergey Brin, prompting the Google co-founder to file for divorce earlier this year and ending the tech billionaires’ long friendship, according to people familiar with the matter.”
But Musk defended allegations raised against him, responding via his Twitter account. He explained that he and Brin were both at a party last night and he had only seen Shanahan twice in three years, saying the encounters were in public places.
He wrote, “This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night. I’ve only seen Nicole (Brin) twice in three years, both times with many other people around nothing romantic”.
Elon Musk has been facing several challenges recently, including manufacturing interference at Tesla Inc. and a court dispute over his desire to withdraw his $44 billion bid for Twitter Inc.
