Emir of Zazzau in Kaduna State, Mallam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, has warned residents of the emirate especially Gwargwaje youths to desist from a planned demonstration scheduled to hold today, Friday.
This was contained in a statement made available to Daily Trust in Zaria.
This followed the incident of high electricity voltage supply to the area that resulted in the electrocution of about 11 peraons and destruction of property in the Gwargwaje area of Zaria, Kaduna State.
The statement said, “This is totally wrong. It’s sad that some elites/elders are pushing these young people to something that might lead to breakdown of Law and order at Gwargwaje and other other locations.

“I encourage all leaders in this group to please caution the people under them to refrain from this unacceptable act.”
Bamalli pointed out that there is a civil way of expressing displeasure but not through demonstration or riots.
The monarch cautioned that “the police and other security agencies are fully prepared to prevent any breach of peace, warning the youth to be guided.”
The emir who had earlier visited and consoled the community also commiserated with the families that lost their loved ones.
He urged the community to give the electricity company the chance to come and speak to them on the way forward, instead of resorting to riots.
