Elections: Osinbajo inaugurates APC legal committee for over 1400 elective offices

With 12 days to the general elections, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has inaugurated the Legal Compliance Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for over 1400 elective offices across the country.

This was made known in a tweet by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande.

According to Akande, the Vice President urged members of the committee to be proactive and work hard for the party’s victory at the polls while recalling notable achievements of the APC-led Federal Government.

The tweet reads: “VP Osinbajo this afternoon inaugurates the APC Legal Compliance Committee for over 1400 elective offices at State & National 2023 elections urging members to be proactive, confident they are up to the task across the country, while recalling notable achievements of the APC led FG.”

Last week, APC legal advisers led by two Senior Advocates of Nigeria – Babatunde Fashola and Festus Keyamo met with Osinbajo on 2 February 2023 at the Presidential Villa.

The meeting was also attended by the current APC National Legal Adviser Barr. Ahmed El-Marzuk and his predecessor, Mr. Babatunde Ogala, SAN, were also in attendance among other party and government officials seen at the Villa.

The team met the VP to discuss planning and reviewing the party’s preparedness for the forthcoming elections with the Vice President.
